Using Grove Park as the case study, the workshop will walk through the various tactics used to mobilise the campaigns and empower the local citizens to come together to make a difference in their neighbourhood. Through the neighbourhood planning process, the talk will also explore how the community, marginalised by the political and planning process, reimagined a powerful alternative vision for their neighbourhood that is now gaining political traction. Stephen Kenny is an award winning international Creative Director and Social Entrepreneur with a background in historic building conservation. He has 25 years experience designing creative products, from corporate identities to outdoor education programmes, working with local schools to promote heritage conservation and communities through an outdoor literacy programme.
